Every guide published on this site is based on primary, verifiable sources, including:

- Directly published policy documents where available
We do not publish information based on
- Social media posts

- Rumours or unofficial summaries
If a news outlet reports on a DHA announcement, we verify the underlying claim against the original source before updating our content.
03 — Our Editorial Review Process
All content on this site is reviewed before publication or update.
High-impact pages, including those covering fees, processing times, policy changes, or bank service rollouts, are verified against primary sources before updates are published.
When material changes occur, such as fee increases or new branch expansions, affected pages are updated promptly once official confirmation is available.

Department of Home Affairs fees are set by Government Gazette and may change periodically.
We update fee information after official confirmation. However, if any information on this site differs from what appears on:

- dha.gov.za
- A Government Gazette notice
The official DHA source takes precedence.
